Can minors get tattooed?

• Yes, a minor that is over the age of 14 may get tattooed with legal guardian’s consent and proper paperwork.

What legal documentation do I need to bring to my appointment?

​

• If you are over the age of 18 you will need a government issued photo ID such as a passport, driver’s license or military ID. Birth Certificates will NOT be accepted.

• If you are under the age of 18 you will need your government issued photo ID, along with your guardian’s government issued photo ID. BOTH LAST NAMES AND ADDRESS MUST MATCH.

OR

• Guardian’s government issued photo ID and minors birth certificate.

*In cases of legal guardianship/custody agreements, guardianship paperwork stating the name of the guardian AND the minor need to be provided as well.

Deposit requirements and cancellation guidelines for tattoo sessions:

​

• In order to book an appointment we do require a deposit to hold your date/time. The remainder of your quoted price will be due at the end of your tattoo appointment. 

​

*Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE but does get applied to the cost of your tattoo. If You are unable to give at least a 24 hour notice or are a NO CALL/NO SHOW you will lose your deposit and/or may be required to pay in full in order to reschedule. Several NO CALL/NO SHOWS will result in ineligibility to receive services from Red Letter Studios.

Deposit Amounts per session:

30 minutes -1.5hr = $50 plus tax

2hrs-3.5hrs = $100 plus tax

4hrs-5.5hrs = $200 plus tax

6hrs & up = $400 plus tax

These can be collected via phone call or in person.

 

What is a tattoo consultation?

• A consultation appointment is a free 30 minute meeting with an artist to discuss art ideas and options for designing a tattoo to your specifications. After the consultation you may choose to schedule your tattoo appointment or choose to do so at a later date. No obligation.

 

How do I get a recent tattoo touched up?

• You will receive one free touch up within the first year of your tattoo. Free touch ups are only free if the original tattoo was tattooed at our studio. Alterations or additions are not free. You can simply email, Red.Letters23@gmail.com or Instagram message us and book as usual.

Does Red Letter Studio refuse any type of tattoos?

• Yes, our artists will not tattoo profanity, nudity, racist, gang-related, or anything resembling a demon. No exceptions. The artists will also not tattoo the inside of the mouth or palms of hands.

Do we use Blacklight ink or cremated ashes?

• No.

Do we accept walk-ins?

• Yes! If an artist has availability. This is not guaranteed. We do recommend you reach out to us first via email, Red.letters23@gmail.com, message us on Instagram, or call the shop to first get a quote and be sure someone has adequate time to complete your piece!
